Après une saison de rĂ©sidence au Divan du Monde (Paris) et des 1ères parties (Peter Von Poehl, Teitur, Isobel Campbell, Françoiz Breut…) au CafĂ© de la Danse et la Maroquinerie et la sortie d’un prĂ©cieux 45t “Empty Walls (Victrola records / Leeds), Marie Flore arpente les routes avec les titres de tout nouvel EP “More than 30 sec. please”.

“Sous ses airs de petite femme frêle et fragile se cache un petit joyau de folk douce, aimant triturer sa pédale de samples pour plonger un auditoire dans un espace-temps indéfini.” (le Hiboo)

Novembre 2008 marque sa première collaboration avec Gregg Foreman (clavier de Cat Power, Ex Delta 72) à Philadelphie pour l’enregistrement d’un side project dont la sortie est prévue pour 2009.

After one year of a weekly artist residency in Paris at ” Le Divan du Monde”, tours supporting artists such as Peter von Poehl , Teitur, The New Pornographers and the release of a 7 inch single “Empty Walls/Half past three” (Victrola records /a Uk label from Leeds), Marie-Flore hits the road with her brand new EP “More than 30 sec. please”.

We’re also happy to annonce that she just started working with Gregg Foreman (keyboards for Cat Power and ex member of Delta 72) in Philadelphia to record a side project , to be be released in 2009.

According to the blog “Arbobo”:
“it took her audacity to offer, alone with her guitar, intriguing and sweet tracks. Marie-Flore //is so charming she sould seduce anyone, except that she isn’t aware of that, and except that she doesn’t care and she’d rather seduce us with her songs. A touch of melancoly, a voice that sounds as if she was holding it back, which gives more strength to her surprising sounding guitar. She can make a guitar roar and have sold out shows, but Marie Flore whispers to your ears, which is rather cheeky, when you play rock music. And this is what she does, rock and minimal pop closer to small Tindersticks than to Cat Power despite the obvious comparison. Not that modern, surely not folk either. Maybe her music sounds more like Julie Doiron, but comparisons don’t really matter.”
